Namaste and welcome to the May edition of Conference Connection.
This month we're featuring a delicious recipe from Kashi, one of our 2005 sponsors, spotlight on Tias Little and more exclusive alumni content.
As we mentioned in the last Conference Connection, if you're an elementary school teacher, or know someone who is, check out Yoga Ed. at the upcoming Grand Geneva Conference.
Yoga Ed. is a program for children (K-8) that combines yoga with imaginative play, art, reflection, and journaling. In addition to an all-day intensive, we're also offering a free (and open to the public) lunchtime workshop with simple yoga-based activities
that support well-being, accelerate learning, and nurture responsible behavior. For more information visit Yoga Ed. online at www.yogaed.com.
More information regarding the all-day intensive and free workshop is available at www.yjevents.com.

Grand Geneva
Don't wait any longer! The Grand Geneva Conference is almost sold out.
If you are unable to attend the full conference, you can still attend the other
events including: Rodney Yee's keynote, the Kirtan Groove Dance Party with Dave Stringer band,
the Yoga Ed intensive, Tools for Teachers and the yoga marketplace.
There is still limited space available for most of Friday's all-day intensives and Monday's Eight Limbs of Yoga Intensive
with Gary Kraftsow, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and Patricia Walden.
If you've already registered, be on the look out for an email next week with more details and information about the conference and Lake Geneva.
Estes Park
The early bird discount for the Estes Park Conference ends July 15, 2005. If you plan on attending, be sure
to register as soon as possible. Spaces are filling very quickly (the Iyengar Intensive is sold out.)
We regret that there is not more space in the Iyengar Intensive, however there are still opportunities to listen and learn from Sri B.K.S. Iyengar during the Main Conference by attending his keynote and conversation.

Tias' background is steeped in both academic study and physical discipline. He graduated from Amherst College with a BA in English, played competitive soccer for 15 years and was elected All-American his senior year in college.
He went on to study movement and dance and performed with a modern dance company in Tucson, AZ.
He began his yoga training in 1984 in the Iyengar system under the guidance of his mother Susan Little.
Tias’ first trip to India was in 1989 where he lived in Mysore for 6 months learning the first two series of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga with K. Pattabhi Jois.
After practicing Ashtanga Yoga for 10 years, Tias immersed himself in the study of the healing arts including massage, cranial-sacral study and bodywork.
He teaches yoga with a sensitivity and subtlety that is informed by his anatomical knowledge and keen sense of touch.
His teaching is grounded in the structure and precision of alignment from the Iyengar system while sharing the spaciousness and compassionate wisdom that stems from the Buddhist tradition.
Tias earned a Masters in Eastern Philosophy from St. John’s College in 1998. His dharma training has been further informed by teachings from the Zen, Dzogchen and Vipassana communities.
Tias is a student of Tsoknyi Rinpoche in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
He now lives with his wife Surya in Santa Fe New Mexico and directs Yogasource.
They have a 9 month old baby boy named Eno Sinclair who is actively practicing crawling poses.
